What is Earned Wage Access (EWA)?

EWA lets employees both full-time and contractual- access a portion of their real time salary before their monthly payment is due. The balance is paid to the employees as usual on payday. It's a free, employer-backed initiative that helps employee manage their mid-month liquidity crunch and lead stress-minimised lives.

The way that it works is that CZA partners with employers, basing it on their payroll system to track the amount of wages their employees have earned & then provide a way for employees to access those wages when they want to through means such as a mobile app or other channels EWA replaces the extended, locked pay cycle concept, invented in the 1960s as banking infrastructure evolved and processing fees became expensive for employers and banking providers.
